Maintenance Update — Pet Nomenclature and Delay Compensation

Two patches in one day. Pet egg renames for consistency, a compensation box for maintenance delays, and maintenance notes that don't live in item data.

One maintenance window, folded into a single update. Two separate patch deliveries — typically maintenance + compensation — on the same day.

Pet egg nomenclature fixes

Pet eggs and the GetPoring device were renamed for English consistency:

ID Old name New name
9009 Savage Bebe Egg Savage Babe Egg
9062 Baby Poring Egg Little Poring Egg
9184 Tai-Zi Egg Tai-zi Egg
313624 Green Petite Egg Lv.1 Ground Petite Egg Lv.1
313625 Green Petite Egg Lv.2 Ground Petite Egg Lv.2
313652 Baby Poring Egg Lv.1 Little Poring Egg Lv.1
313653 Baby Poring Egg Lv.2 Little Poring Egg Lv.2
1240007 [GetPoring] Onigiri Device [GetPoring] Onigiring Device

No mechanical changes — these renames do not affect drop rates, npc sales, equipment, or storage rules.

2. What the maintenance fixed that we cannot show

The official patch notes list:

  • Maintenance delay compensation — the Launch Delay Compensation Box above
  • Login attendance event and login coupon rewards
  • SNS milestone reward scaling
  • Sprite and preview corrections for several costumes
  • Text overflow fixes in the Vending Search Catalog
  • Odin character creation restrictions
  • Auto-Hunt registration and party EXP fixes
  • Removal of the Graphics API tutorial
  • Pet Enchant naming inconsistencies

None of those live in items, mobs, or maps data. Sprite layering, preview images, and UI text live outside what a database models; EXP rates and Auto-Hunt registration are server behaviour. We mention them so the gap is visible rather than silently absent.

The one exception: we do not carry Pet Enchant options in our schema yet, so there was nothing to correct even though the maintenance did.

3. The database is in sync — and one correction

This page first went up saying the database already carried these changes. It did not: the snapshot had been lifted to 447, the database was still on 442, and the two were reported as one. All nine item changes above have since been written and read back.

Build Item count New Renames Data changes
437 → 442 3,934 5 23 1 (item description)
442 → 447 3,935 1 8 0

Two things turned up while checking, both now fixed:

  • Seven renamed items would have 404'd on their new URL. The redirect table kept a row for each old slug and marked it canonical. Renaming moved the item's slug but left that row pointing at the old one, and the new slug had no row at all. Old links now redirect and new ones resolve.
  • Thirty-two quest descriptions were stale, most of them Nordfeld's, left on the spelling from two updates ago. Three carried wrong numbers: the guild dailies asked for Lv. 10 or higher where the game says Lv. 1, Ancient Script of Nordfeld said 3 Boulder Dwarf Tokens instead of 20, and Gleaming Pebble said 10 instead of 3.

4. Still missing: Nordfeld quest steps

The 45 Nordfeld quests have descriptions but no step list, and they are the only block in the database without one. They are absent from the source the step parser reads, and their text does not carry an objective the parser can use — it is narrative ("Captain Kalden has asked you to defeat 30 monsters in Nordfeld Plains") where every other quest is terse ("Defeat Shy Poring"). Generating steps from it anyway produced entries reading Go to nrd_in, so we left the field empty rather than fill it with that. It needs a curation pass.
